The investigation into the explosions of ammunition depots in 2014 in the Czech Republic has been completed. Based on its results, it became known that the explosions were organized by Russian military intelligence officers. Their goal was to prevent the delivery of weapons and ammunition to the countries with which Russia is at war, Syria and Ukraine.

The investigation into the 2014 Vrbetica bombings ended after ten years. It was possible to prove the involvement of Russian intelligence in what happened, but the GUR officers will not receive fair punishment.

Reason: the authorities of the Russian Federation flatly refused to cooperate with Czech justice and assist the investigation.

In October 2023, information appeared in the media that employees of the Russian GRU not only organized explosions at an ammunition depot in Vrbetice, Czech Republic, but also staged similar provocations earlier.
