According to Yle, Finnish police detained three Russian citizens in the border town of Kajaani; they turned out to be two 25-year-old men and an 18-year-old girl.

They are suspected of exporting dual-use goods, the export of which is restricted by local legislation. We are talking about “luxury goods that, in addition to civilian use, can also be used for military purposes - either as such or in the form of spare parts.” Such products may include smartphones, drones, sensors, lasers, etc.

The Kainuu District Court arrested the suspects today. They face up to 4 years in prison.

It is noted that all those arrested are college students in Kainuu.
