A Fort Collins aerialist has officially nabbed a world record for her hair-raising talent. Guinness World Records recently confirmed Stephanie Morphet-Tepp, a circus performer known for her hair hanging act, is the new world record holder for the heaviest weight held while suspended by her hair. Morphet-Tepp held just over 277 pounds while hanging by a ring tied into her hair during a November, 10, 2023, attempt at the Denver Circus Collective. By her estimation, Morphet-Tepp is one of roughly six people who hair hang in the U.S., she told the Coloradoan before her record attempt late last year.
